| A re-posting of the I due vigili (1967) picture from the Filippo Perego thread because it is clearly him in this picture too!

| The first from the right in Milano violenta (1976) - re-posted from the Oscar Sciamanna thread:

| ...Belpaese, Il (1977)

| I think I know his name now because I found him in some fotoromanzi.
First I found him in Le avventure di Jacques Douglas N. 26: "Poker di spie" (from November 1967). He plays the 'grande capo' of an evil organization called SEVEN (very similar to SPECTRE in the James Bond movies). A nice little role but, unfortunately, he was uncredited:
But what is more interesting is that I also found him in Il re dell'F.B.I. N. 10: "Prima che lei mi uccida" (from December 1968), where he plays a captain:
And in this fotoromanzo there was a good cast list:
It credits a certain Franz Colangeli as 'Il Capitano'. I can't understand who else this character name could refer to so this has to be the name of our unknown friend!

| Colangeli in Il corsaro nero (1971) - I am sure this discovery is interesting for Tibor
|Posted by: TRS December 30, 2008 09:11 pm|
| Oh, yes! Great! Thank you! Thank you too at Emiliano for the identifications in the mail at the webmaster from the spencerhill-database!
|Posted by: Johan Melle December 30, 2008 11:38 pm|
| A nice little role in Il figlio di Aquila Nera (1968):
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 02, 2009 03:17 am|
|I think Colangeli appears at the start of Giornata nera per l'ariete (1971) - the man sitting next to "hairless with bags under eyes".|
|Posted by: Emiliano January 02, 2009 03:41 am|
| Do you mean this:
Maybe he's the same?
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 02, 2009 03:53 am|
|I think that it is him in all the pictures. I can't say for sure with the first pic but in the others it is the same man and he looks like he could be Colangeli...|
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 02, 2009 07:25 pm|
| One noticeable characteristic about Colangeli is his strange tooth:
|Posted by: Emiliano January 03, 2009 02:59 am|
| I think that man from:
Milano violenta (1976) - quite sure
Siamo tutti pomicioni (1963)
Secondo tragico Fantozzi, Il (1976)
is Colangeli lookalike http://thrilling.forumfree.org/index.php?&showtopic=192
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 03, 2009 03:13 am|
|Yes, I agree with you! But they are both(!) in the picture from Milano violenta! The real Colangeli is the first man to the right, and the lookalike is the man to the left (with glasses).|
|Posted by: Emiliano January 03, 2009 12:32 pm|
|Correct the mistakes.|
|Posted by: Emiliano January 04, 2009 04:56 pm|
| Credited as Franz Colangelo in 00-2 agenti segretissimi (1964).
maybe this one:
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 04, 2009 06:02 pm|
|Yes, that must be him! Great! This is the first film we have found where he is credited!|
|Posted by: Emiliano January 05, 2009 11:07 pm|
| Poliziotta fa carriera, La (1975)
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 11, 2009 01:13 am|
| Il sorriso del grande tentatore (1974):
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 21, 2009 09:46 pm|
| Looks like Colangeli did several more fotoromanzi for Lancio. Now I found him uncredited in these three:
Letizia N. 187: "Ascolta è il vento" (9 April 1972) - the Colangeli-lookalike appears in this fotoromanzo too (More info in his topic):
Le avventure di Jacques Douglas N. 83: "Delirio" (August 1972) - together with Sisto Brunetti:
Le avventure di Jacques Douglas N. 89: "Era destino che" (February 1973)
|Posted by: Johan Melle May 29, 2009 09:55 pm|
| Another fotoromanzo with Colangeli: Il re dell'F.B.I. N. 3: "Silenzio... si uccide!" (from May 1968):
Unlike his role in Il re dell'F.B.I. N. 10, he was uncredited this time.
|Posted by: Johan Melle July 06, 2009 04:40 pm|
| Tiny role in La mano lunga del padrino (1972) - he is a passenger exiting from the airplane. We can see him very briefly as he walks past Erika Blanc:
|Posted by: Buono Legnani December 25, 2009 07:54 pm|
| - Paolo il freddo (uncredited) ... Party guest
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 05, 2010 09:54 pm|

| Come inguaiammo l'esercito (1965) (? credits ?) .... Army officer
|Posted by: Ghibarian October 10, 2010 11:15 am|
| I'm pretty sure it's him (..in 1964 he was totally bald in '002 agenti segretissimi' too)
Un mostro e mezzo (1964) (uncredited) .... Man at funeral procession
|Posted by: Ghibarian October 14, 2010 08:53 pm|
| I think it's him in a 2 sec appearance:
Il commissario (1962) (uncredited) .... Policeman
|Posted by: Ghibarian October 16, 2010 11:06 am|
he appears again as Man at restaurant
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro October 16, 2010 11:14 am|
| A double role !
It is not very unusual, but is a funny curiosity.
|Posted by: Johan Melle October 17, 2010 10:43 pm|
|That's great! I love double roles!|
|Posted by: Ghibarian October 24, 2010 06:01 pm|

|@ Ghibarian: Do you have the Franco & Ciccio movie Le spie vengono dal semifreddo (1966)? I've only seen a fullscreen version with Spanish subtitles of the American version (which is different from the Italian version) but Franz Colangeli has a nice little role here, and so does Giulio Massimini (with a kilt!), Alessandro Tedeschi etc. Maybe you are able to get some nice screenshots for us?|
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia November 02, 2010 06:43 pm|
|Posted by: Johan Melle November 03, 2010 03:52 pm|
But nobody found Alessandro Tedeschi in this film?
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia November 03, 2010 04:13 pm|
I didn't, but if you suggest me where to seek, I'll try again
|Posted by: Johan Melle November 03, 2010 04:56 pm|
|In the scenes with Francesco Mulè and all the army officials. I think maybe the unknown generico with thick eyebrows is there too.|
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro November 04, 2010 04:39 pm|
| Colangeli in Italian Secret service (1968)
EDIT: I've updated this post with a better quality screenshot

Uploaded with http://imageshack.us
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro December 08, 2010 04:07 pm|
| The quality is quite bad,but for me he is Colangeli as a lawyer:
The movie is L'ultima neve di primavera (1973)
Maybe someone have the movie in better quality ?
|Posted by: Johan Melle December 10, 2010 05:09 pm|

| I just spotted Colangeli in the same scene of Pupita in Il secondo tragico fantozzi (1976)
|Posted by: TRS January 09, 2011 04:54 pm|
|Is the man on the left not in the green jacket not Middle-aged greying???|
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 09, 2011 08:47 pm|
| No! I think he is Philip Dallas but it's hard to see because the picture quality is not the best.
Colangeli should be correct, though.
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 14, 2011 03:06 pm|
| A better shot of Colangeli in il secondo tragico fantozzi (so we can update his filmography with this role, and the other:la banda del gobbo etc.)
Uploaded with http://imageshack.us
|Posted by: Ghibarian February 01, 2011 02:38 pm|
| I've no pics but he appears uncredited in Gastone (1960) as man at the tabarin in every tabarin scene!
If I'm not wrong also Cesare Martignoni should appear in the same role.
|Posted by: Ghibarian February 21, 2011 12:20 am|

I've found the following pic in the 'unknown gallery' from the http://cinema-italiano-db.de/showunknown.php?film=1240 and I suppose this is the same man
but I can't find this shot in the movie so I think I've a (bad) cutted version of Los Amigos.

| Hard to say. Anyone have it in a better quality?
L'emigrante (1973) (uncredited) .... Night club customer

|Posted by: Ciavazzaro March 09, 2011 03:21 pm|

He plays again a man at the airport
|Posted by: Ghibarian March 10, 2011 01:29 pm|
| Colangeli appears uncredited in Letto a tre piazze (1960) as customer at "Gatto verde" night. Sorry, I've seen it on TV, so no pics.
If I'm not wrong he takes part of a little blooper, cause first he is already sitted at the table and then we see him while he gets into the night club.
|Posted by: Ghibarian March 10, 2011 02:42 pm|

I think i know also the first man in the pic from sette orchidee the fat with grey moustache.

|The other officer could maybe be the 'Sinister-looking man'?|
|Posted by: Johan Melle August 08, 2011 02:07 pm|

| I've found a very interesting thing, according to imdb, franz should be credited in the episode Corte d'assise of italian tv series IL TRIANGOLO ROSSO (1967):http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1320174/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_8
This would be his first credited role in a movie, also in the same episode is credited to appear attilio pelegatti, and there are other Actors who maybe can be generici,so it would be very interesting to found this episode and check !
maybe we can search on emule ?

P.S. Carlos do you have other imagines of the woman in the movie Partirono preti tornarono curati, which you just uploaded in this topic, because i think she is another of our generiche:
Pupita Lea Scuderoni.
|Posted by: carlos November 23, 2015 04:12 am|
Do you think so? Although Franz is in the background in several scenes, his companion is only in this one in my badly cropped version. Here are a couple of different angles:
There are probably other generici at this party but it's hard to tell with this bad PQ.
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro November 23, 2015 05:18 pm|
| Thank you for the new pics, she is pupita for sure, this time with a red wing.
And yes is very very probable, there are more generici in the scene, maybe you can open a topic, posting some of the other Actors, present at the party, to see if me or other users recognize more generici, if off course, they are visible in your copy ratio...
