|Aaah, yes! I remember this face! He really was the croupier very often! I think I have several fotoromanzi with him too but uncredited...|

| Haha, nice one: Micalizzi's Cousin - great name!
Actually, I recognized his face almost immediately since I had just watched Il commissario di ferro (1978)!

|I suppose it's our man|
|Posted by: Johan Melle July 05, 2009 03:38 pm|
| Found him again in Genius N. 3: "Una bara per Sam" (April 1966):
He plays a bad guy named Tony and this is the biggest fotoromanzo role I have found for him.
Anyway, I have some good news and some bad news about this discovery. The good news is that he was actually credited! The bad news is that he was credited only under a pseudonym: "Mark Spencer".
Not really surprising because the majority of the actors who appeared in the Genius fotoromanzi used stupid americanized pseudonyms. Here is the cast list for Genius N. 3:
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia July 05, 2009 08:26 pm|
| Oh no! I really hope that we can discover his real name one day...
Anyway, Rock Scandurra, Regina St. Prover, Frank Mabuse... weird pseudonyms
So until new infos come in the future should we call him Mark Spencer?
|Posted by: Johan Melle July 06, 2009 01:39 pm|
| Yes, Frank Mabuse is the best pseudonym I have seen in a long time!!
It is nice that "Mark Spencer" was credited but I don't know what to make of this pseudonym. The problem is that somtimes the pseudonyms used by the Genius actors have only been "americanized" and are actually very similar to the real names of the actors (for example, in Genius 10 "Caesar Martin" = Cesare Martignoni, and "Salvador Mann" = Manlio Salvatori).
But other times the pseudonyms are completely different from the real names of the actors (for example in Genius 1, where "Rita Tower" is actually Maria Pia Conte, and in Genius 19, where "Margaret Dowson" is actually Bruna Beani etc).
Another actor in Genius 3 is Attilio Pelegatti, who is credited as "Tom Miller". This name is not similar to his real name, so probably the real name of "Mark Spencer" is completely different too. Or maybe not? Maybe his real name is Marco Spensieri or something like that?? Who knows?
But at least he was credited (even if it was only a pseudonym) so this gives hope that he must have been credited other places too - hopefully under his real name. The search continues!

| Yet another small fotoromanzo role. Here is our friend together with Sonia Viviani in "I fratelli Zaccheo", a big fotoromanzo-a-puntate published in Grand Hotel in 1984:

It coul be
We can check their filmography,at least it's a try !
|Posted by: Ghibarian November 30, 2010 01:00 am|
he couldn't be 'Armandino', because it's Armandino Zingone, a musician.
If IMDB is right about Pennisi role in '..Goldginger', so in 'I due vigili' Pennisi should be the 'door keeper'.
Antonio Nardi could be a IMDB mistake because in the titles I have there is Antonio Nardo (http://cinema-italiano-db.de/franchi-ingrassia/film.php?film=7)

| Very good, let's see about Mario Capuccio
He appears in
...e vennero in quattro per uccidere Sartana! (1969)
Arrivano Django e Sartana... è la fine (1970)
And also in La piovra 2
Anyone can check the movies ?
And about Riccardo Franci
For him we need Separati in casa (1986)
Le't start the search, and i hope we will have fortune !
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro December 06, 2010 05:15 pm|
| I checked in Arrivano Django e sartana, and in that movie sadly micalizzi's cousin didn't appear.
So he is not Mario Capuccio.
Anyone have Separati in casa (1986)
or can download it,to see if Riccardo Franci is micalizzi's cousin ?
|Posted by: Johan Melle December 09, 2010 02:29 pm|
| I think this is him as a croupier in the TV series Classe di ferro - episode 10: "La vendetta" (1989)

| Yes he is him !
Johan could you check if Separati in casa (1986) is on emule ?
|Posted by: Johan Melle December 09, 2010 03:49 pm|
| Yeah, I think so too. And he has played a croupier very often!
I can't find Separati in casa...

|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 08, 2011 09:24 pm|
|It's like in La salamandra, every time we found a new generico in this movies|
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 08, 2011 09:48 pm|
|Hehe. I think I didn't know who he was when I looked at this film earlier. So often it is a good idea to look at old movies again and see if we recognize some "new" generici that we didn't know about before.|
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia January 18, 2011 02:09 pm|
| Maybe we've got something!!
He stars in L'ossessa in a good role, with some lines so he was probably credited: the name Raniero Dorascenzi (credited in L'ossessa) is also credited in Per amore di Poppea (where our Micalizzi's cousin is visible) and in Ruba al prossimo tuo, a movie I haven't... somebody should check!
Here's in L'ossessa:
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 18, 2011 04:39 pm|
| Oh my god, this would be great !!!
Anyone can check on emule ?,since is a movie with Rock Hudson maybe it is present !!!!
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 18, 2011 04:40 pm|
|Another proof would be if we found all the males actor from L'ossessa,so we will have no doubt that he is him !!!|
|Posted by: Ghibarian January 18, 2011 04:56 pm|
| interesting, hope we found it!
..and in 'Ruba al prossimo tuo' it seems there are also Filippo Perego and Andrea Esterhazy credited!
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia January 18, 2011 04:59 pm|
| I'm trying to download from emule the Maselli's movie Ruba al prossimo tuo, even if it's the spanish version called Guapa, ardente y peligrosa. We'll wait and see...
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 18, 2011 05:04 pm|
|Great hope that version is uncut !|
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 18, 2011 05:25 pm|
|Intriguing! I'm really hoping now. It would be so nice to finally know this man's name!|
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 18, 2011 05:51 pm|
| Yeah every minute i hope it more !!
I check the movie and we have 5 males actors of which i don't remember the roles, and 5 actors (excluding the man we think it could be micalizzi's cousin) are credited,so this is a good start !
We keep our fingers crossed.
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia January 18, 2011 06:37 pm|
| The male credits in L'ossessa are:
Chris Avram, Ivan Rassimov, Gabriele Tinti, Luigi Pistilli, Umberto Raho are so famous that are out of the matter.
Then there are Gianrico Tondinelli, Giuseppe Addobbati, Luigi Antonio Guerra, Pietro Gerlini, Giovanni Di Benedetto, Paolo Celli and Edoardo Toniolo who are already known.
Still, we have Ignazio Bevilacqua and Raniero Dorascenzi: two names without a face so far.
But Ignazio Bevilacqua, according to Imdb, should appear is such movies like Valeria dentro e fuori as a nurse, or Dagli archivi della polizia criminale as Maltese's henchman, and we have never found our Micalizzi's cousin in those movies...
So, IF we found our man in Maselli's picture, I guess we can close the issue
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia January 19, 2011 11:13 am|
| Mmm, at first sight Micalizzi's cousin is not visible in my spanish copy... this version lasts 85'29'', with opening credits in english; Raniero Dorascenzi is not listed in these credits (only 8 actors are listed, including leading characters Rock Hudson and Claudia Cardinale).
Maybe the italian copy, that should last about 110', includes some other scenes, I don't know...
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 19, 2011 12:52 pm|
| Infact im afrai the spanish version is heavily cut,i see there is an italian dvd of the italian version (not a bootleg but an official dvd):
So on emule there is only the spanish version ?
The fact that in the spanish version our actor is not credited, makes very probable the fact that his scenes were cut from the spanish cut,so we must have the italian dvd or a rip of it,to leave the doubt !
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 19, 2011 01:58 pm|
| I download too the movie (the spanish version)
What do you think about this ?:
I will continues to see the movie (two people seeing it,is better than one i think !),and in the worst case there is the italian dvd.
I wait anyway for opinions abou the two pic.
|Posted by: Ghibarian January 19, 2011 02:21 pm|
|I've seen that scene on YouTube, but I think could be a woman..|
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 19, 2011 04:14 pm|
| I saw the full movie,and i don't found Micalizzi's cousin,but i wait also vecchiaguardia (maybe i lose him,it can happened) to tell this.
If also vecchiaguardia confirms that in the spanish version he is not present,i still think that micalizzi's cousin is Raniero for these reasons:
1 He is not credited in the spanish version, which seems cut to the italian version (85 minutes in front of 108-110 minutes),and this would not be strange, since the master is from the us version, which cut very often foreign movies of dialogues scenes and other in the 60's and 70's
2 We identify all the males actors from L'ossessa (every male charachter have a role expect for Micalizzi's cousin).
So we just have to buy or to found on the net the rip of the italian dvd,but i still think our generico is Raniero (it is only my opinion off course)
Any other opinions ?
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 19, 2011 04:25 pm|
| It is not unusual that the Spanish and Italian cast lists are different. Another example of that is the Italian/Spanish co-production Estratto dagli archivi segreti della polizia di una capitale europea (1972). In the Italian version many of the Spanish supporting actors are not credited. These actors are credited in the Spanish version but many of the Italian supporting actors are not. So in both versions the cast list in incomplete.
But Ruba al prossimo tuo is not a Spanish co-production, but maybe they only have the big roles in the Spanish cast lists because they think nobody is interested in the small roles.
Our man can still be Raniero Dorascenzi but I think we need to see the complete Italian version before we can be sure.
And what about Filippo Perego? He too is supposed to be in this film. Was his role cut from the Spanish version too?
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia January 19, 2011 04:27 pm|
Mauro please tell me where in the movie you found this scene... after 10 minutes? 20?
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia January 19, 2011 04:41 pm|
| Anyway, my resources are basically unlimited...
I got the italian version now, and we have different ending credits, with Dorascenzi, Alessandro Tedeschi and Andrea Eszterazy:
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 19, 2011 05:04 pm|
| Oh great, hope to found him in this version now !
And the scene i posted is at 5'38 in the spanish version-
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia January 19, 2011 06:22 pm|
| Ok great, I think this is an old woman actually...
Anyway, tonight or maybe tomorrow I'll watch the whole movie and maybe I'll find our friend.
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 19, 2011 07:29 pm|
|Thanks we wait in suspense|
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia January 20, 2011 10:26 am|
| Sorry, but no good news...
I saw the film and our man is not present... the italian version has some different scenes, more footage, even something missing. Plus, a different dubbing of some particular lines and a totally different ending.
Maybe we should reconsider other actors credited in L'ossessa, I don't know...
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 20, 2011 03:18 pm|
| It is very bad..,thanks for having checking anyway..
I really don't know all the speaking male actor in L'ossessa are credited..
We can search again for them...
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 20, 2011 04:11 pm|
| What a pity!
But what about Perego? Anyone found him in this film?
|Posted by: Ghibarian January 20, 2011 04:13 pm|
| bad news!
but so ..who is Raniero? could you identify him comparing both movies?
and Filippo Perego doesn't appears?
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 20, 2011 04:16 pm|
|Yeah at least we have to give him an identity ! (i mean raniero)|
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia January 20, 2011 04:49 pm|
| I can't compare because I own a bad, dark version of L'ossessa; plus, I've found it so boring I stopped it after about 25 minutes...
I don't know about Filippo Perego; he's not a face I usually recognize.
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 20, 2011 09:10 pm|
| Well, no identification for him then. But we will find out sometime!
Anyway, here he is in Kriminal (1966)
|Posted by: Johan Melle January 23, 2011 10:58 pm|
| He is in the audience during the bullfighting scene in Il coltello di ghiaccio (1972)
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro January 31, 2011 03:27 pm|
| I suppose this is Micalizzi's cousin from Il padre di famiglia (1967) as a man at the funeral:
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia January 31, 2011 03:28 pm|
|Posted by: Ghibarian February 18, 2011 02:45 pm|
| hard to say.. just a supposition..
but I hope to find a better version of this movie cause there are many many generici!

I have to go and eat dinner now but afterwards I will reveal his name to you
|Posted by: Ghibarian February 25, 2011 05:29 pm|
| woow great news!
I can't wait..
|Posted by: Johan Melle February 25, 2011 07:06 pm|
| Hehe. But now it's time to reveal the name of this man. And once again we can thank Grand Hotel for the identification. I found our man credited in the Grand Hotel fotoromanzo "La ragazza dei giorni perduti" (1972), where he plays a character named Giuliano. Here are the scans:
As you can tell from the cast list, our man really is RANIERO DORASCENZI as we had already speculated about. Here he is credited as Dorescenzi, though, but he's still our man, and I am very very happy to finally know the identity of this very prolific generico!
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro February 25, 2011 09:25 pm|
| Oh this is absolutely great !!!!!
What a wonderful week,im so happy to have finally his name too ! (he is one of my favourite male generici).
Thanks Johan !

| great ! I'm very happy
thank you Johan!
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia February 26, 2011 12:38 pm|
| Ha ha! I just felt that Raniero Dorascenzi was his name!
Good job again, Johan!
Topic moved in Males generici section obviously
