He's got a rather big role in "Nude per l'assassino" so he might be one of the three credited but unidentified males:

Gianni Airò
Rodolfo Zola
Wainer Verri

Posted by: Johan Melle August 18, 2009 03:48 pm
As for our unknown moustached friend (or "The Faux De Stefanis"): he is NOT Gianni Airò. I know Airò because he too did fotoromanzi for Grand Hotel. Unfortunately, I don't know who Zola and Verri are but I think Zola did fotoromanzi too. We should try to find out more about these two guys.

I am not sure about Zola, but I´m pretty sure that Wainer Verri did fotoromanzi for Grand Hotel too because I´ve found his name listed in a edition from 1975 featuring Laila Regazzi, Paolo Giusti and Silvia Sala! I´ll try to get hold of this issue and report back as soon as I have any news!

Who is Gianni Airò in "Nude per l'assassino"?

http://thrilling.forumfree.org/index.php?&showtopic=34

So the moustached man may be Zola or Verri.

Gianni Airò is nr 005! wink.gif

I plan on buying some more Grand Hotel magazines soon so I might get the one with Zola on eBay too. As for the other link: I don't use Mercado Livre, though, but maybe someone else has used this site before...?

I have used Mercado Livre several times (I´m from Brazil wink.gif ) but unfortunately the bidding for this item has closed and this fotoromanzi has been sold. sad.gif

In the try to identify him,i saw the uncut version of Baba Yaga in wich is credited Rodolfo Zola.
In the movie i didn't find our moustached actor,so maybe he is not Rodolfo Zola, but Wainer Verri..
Anyway the best way to identify him, would found the fotoromanzi with them..
But this would be an help who knowss.

Anyway this actor has a big role in La pacifista, a movie with a good amount of credited actors. So I think he must be someone of these following names:
  • Mario Tellini
  • Mario La Neve
  • Luigi Pignatelli (hypothesis rejected)
  • Cristiano Minellone

Posted by: Ghibarian February 02, 2011 07:13 pm
Luigi Pignatelli is Sottotenente Avellini in Uomini contro (1970) and so Pignatelli is this guy:

Wainer Verri was in a fotoromanzo-a-puntate for Grand Hotel in 1980. I am currently in the process of aquiring some GH magazines from 1980, so I should be able to tell you if Verri is our man. And if he isn't then we will at least know who Verri is in Nude per l'assassino.

Posted by: Ciavazzaro February 02, 2011 09:05 pm
Great in every case we will have something good from that fotoromanzos !

Posted by: vecchiaguardia February 03, 2011 12:36 pm
Ok so he's not Pignatelli... three more to check smile.gif

Posted by: Ciavazzaro February 03, 2011 03:44 pm
Tellini appears in the tv.series
Corsaires et flibustiers (1966) as Le quartier-maître
Anyone have it ?,i see it is quite a famous tv-series in france, maybe there are dvd,or on emule, rapidshare, torrent ?

On the imdb i can't found other roles for the other two actors sad.gif

I have now received the Grand Hotel magazines from 1980, and we can now cross Wainer Verri from our list - he is NOT our unknown generico.
There is still the possibility that he is Rodolfo Zola, though. Next week I expect to get a fotoromanzo with Rodolfo Zola from 1974, so then I will be able to say for sure.

I do try my best. Fortunately, magazines such as Grand Hotel are interesting even when we are unable to discover the names of generici because there are always a lot of nice pictures or interesting gossip about Italian celebrities from the 60s and 70s tongue.gif

I have now received the Grand Hotel fotoromanzo from 1974 where Rodolfo Zola is credited and, unfortunately, he is NOT our moustached generico. So the hunt for his name continues... sad.gif

For one great news, also a bad one sad.gif
But we will found his name sooner or later !

Ot:at least can you post the pic of Zola so we can see which charachter plays in Nude per l'assassino ?

As yet as Policeman in Cuori solitari (1970):

These are the credited actors of Cuori solitari that I'm not able to identity:

Dominik Morawski
Livio Cesarani
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0304988/
Michele Straniero
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1887232/
Vittorio Fornaro

He appears also for two seconds so there are a few possibilities that he's credited.

Posted by: Emiliano August 06, 2011 02:39 pm
Early role for him in Il terribile ispettore (1969) as Tanuzzo, the policeman at the telephone cab. He has a little-speaking role (about 1 mitute).

Moreover, I've found him in a photo on the net, where he appears behind Andrea Roncato and (from the right) Anna Kanakis, Gigi Sabani, unknown man, Gigi Sammarchi and other unknown man. I think that this photo was made in the early 80s:

The discovery of this b&w photo is interesting. I really hope we can find out this actor's name soon!

Posted by: Emiliano August 06, 2011 06:30 pm
I hope so too! Curious is that Gigi e Andrea, Sabani and Kanakis appears all together in the movie Gli inaffidabili (1997), but certain this photo was made many many years before.

Posted by: Ghibarian August 06, 2011 07:00 pm
I think this photo could be probably taken during the TV program "Premiatissima" (1983-1984).

Yes, I think you are really right. I've found other shots with Gigi & Andrea and Sabani here: http://archiviofoto.unita.it/index.php?f2=recordid&cod=12074&codset=SPE&pagina=828

I have a suspect: maybe he's a technician...

A certain http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0658595/ (production designer, set decorator), appears credited in these movie, like our moustached friend:

- Milano rovente (1973) - art director
- Nude per l'assassino (1975) - production designer
- Milano... difendersi o morire (1978) - set decorator

Other supposition for http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0664678/ (Sound Department)

He appears credited in 5 titles like our actor:

- La morte risale a ieri sera (1970) - sound
- Squadra volante (1974) - sound
- Nude per l'assassino (1975) - sound
- Milano rovente (as Dino Pasquadibisceglie) (1977) - sound
- Milano... difendersi o morire (1978) - sound technician

We could check other their movies.

Posted by: Johan Melle September 26, 2011 08:42 pm
That's very interesting. But it will be very difficult to verify since none of them seem to be credited as actors in any films...

Posted by: Emiliano September 27, 2011 05:29 pm
Your're right... th_doubt.gif
In the meantime I asked at Dardano Sacchetti (writer of Squadra volante, a film with our mustachioed friend) if he remember the name of this actor. But even if he remember him, he don't remember the name.
