| Umberto Salomone in Satanik (1968):
An old generico who often appears in westerns. After much search we found his name in the fotoromanzo I Fotoromanzi Giganti del Settimo Cielo N. 21: "Leggenda d'amore" (June 1964).

| Wanted (1966)
Al di lÓ della legge / Die letzte Rechnung zahlst du selbst (1967) (i am not sure, but i think that he shall be it)
Little Rita nel West (1967)

| Aah! Yes, yes, now I remember. I always forget the westerns
But I am not so sure about Al di lÓ della legge. I think the bags under his eyes look smaller and the beard thicker than in the other films...

| I am not sure too (because the same characteristics), shall i delete the pic?
You forget the westerns, i thought you are a western-fan with your mail-address: westernfanatic@...

| For me, it is a different actor. What do the rest of you think?
Tibor, now I found the fotoromanzo scan you sent me of this actor a long time ago - from Polvere di Stelle N. 28: "Il volto e l'anima" (January 1965):

| Here is finally a picture from L'ira di Achille (1962) but not the best quality because I only have a poor-looking version:

| It's possible that he is it?
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro May 01, 2012 12:03 pm|
|For me he is not..|
|Posted by: UomoBlooper May 01, 2012 12:10 pm|
|I really don't know what to think... He surely resembles our man, but with the beard cut it becomes really complicate to decide if that's him... Which movie did you get that frame from?|
|Posted by: TRS May 01, 2012 12:46 pm|
|This old man sould be Gian Paolo or Gianpaolo or Giampaolo Rosmino. This immage is from: Ercole e la regina di Lidia. He wrote too a book "Sette demoni in corpo" (1973). I don't thought that he is it, but i hoped it!|

|Other opinions ?|
|Posted by: Ghibarian May 01, 2012 04:25 pm|
| I think it's not him.
|Posted by: Johan Melle May 01, 2012 09:18 pm|
|No, unfortunately, this is not our man!|

| Today I am happy to reveal to you that this actor's name is UMBERTO SALOMONE! Identified due to a credited role in the fotoromanzo I Fotoromanzi Giganti del Settimo Cielo N. 21: "Leggenda d'amore" (published 15 June 1964)!

|Posted by: carlos October 26, 2014 06:17 am|
| As noted earlier this actor appears in a fair few westerns. For my first post:
Mille dollari sul nero (1966) as a citizen of Blackstone Hill
In Wanted he is in the saloon at Owell Rocks
Congratulations on this discovery.

|Welcome to the forum, Carlos! Always good to see new members!|
|Posted by: carlos October 27, 2014 05:59 am|
| Thanks for the welcome. Here's another western role:
Sam the storekeeper in 20.000 dollari sul 7 (1967)
and possibly credited. Humbert Salom is mighty close!! I'm not seeing anyone else I would associate that name with.
What do you guys think?
|Posted by: vecchiaguardia October 27, 2014 11:29 am|
| Humbert Salom is amazing
Yeah I think it could be him...
|Posted by: Tom B. October 27, 2014 03:27 pm|
|Yes. I have Humbert Salom credited in $20,000 on #7 and would say it has to be Umberto credited under a more Americanized name.|
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro October 27, 2014 04:57 pm|
| Welcome Carlos !
Very interesting information by the way,as usually a pseudonomy.
By the way i see that the imdb page of 20.000 dollari sul 7 have credited just a few of Actors ! and our Umberto is not credited,we should add the other names credited in the movie.
|Posted by: Johan Melle October 27, 2014 07:17 pm|
| Humbert Salom!! Hahaha!
Anyway, I agree it must be a pseudonym for Umberto Salomone. Very nice discovery!

| While searching for Piero Morgia I again ran across Umberto
Arizona Colt (1966) as a bank employee

| Great !
im so happy that not only we finally found his name, but also that we are founding many movies for Umberto !
|Posted by: carlos November 03, 2014 02:25 am|
|Yes sir. I'm pretty sure I have more pics for him in other roles, just have to find them. BTW should his link on the Home page be moved from 'Unknown' up to 'Actors "Generici"'|
|Posted by: Johan Melle November 03, 2014 08:48 pm|
|Yes, that should be moved but I don't know how to do it. I think only the board administrator can do that but he is MIA at the moment...|
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro June 06, 2015 12:51 am|
| First time i found a role for Umberto, from the ultra-rare tv-series Il triangolo rosso (1967) episode il cappello nero
|Posted by: carlos September 09, 2015 04:58 am|
Il piombo e la carne (1964) uncredited as the fiddler at an outdoor party
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro September 10, 2015 12:54 am|
| Great you found another role for Umberto,he is a generico i like very much,a very interesting one because so far we have found him only in movie from the 60's,for the moment i think it is a unique case of a generico working only in a decade, and i remember that the cidb lists some more western roles for him, maybe Carlos you can check and in case put the pics here ?
Also i found two more roles
First a great one where he dances with Margaret Lee !!! from Franco Ciccio e le vedove allegre (1968)
And in the train station in I due marescialli (1961) earliest role so far
|Posted by: carlos September 10, 2015 05:12 am|
Yes he has a very kind and pleasant face. Regarding CIDB, I'm not seeing anything there, only a blank page. If a login is required then I applied a while ago but have not received. If you remember any I will try and find a pic.
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro September 18, 2015 12:07 am|
| Sadly i don't remember them ,but you can search if don't bother your for Nello Palladino's western roles,if you go in his topic, you will found the name of the western movies in which he should appear.
Thank you !
|Posted by: carlos September 18, 2015 05:19 am|
I must have missed your request in the Paladino topic. Ill see what I can find there. Regarding roles in CiDB for Umberto, maybe an admin from that site can help us out there
|Posted by: carlos October 24, 2015 05:22 pm|

a very brief appearance in Jim il primo (1964)
|Posted by: carlos April 29, 2016 03:07 am|
| Another role with Franco and Ciccio in Due rrringos nel Texas (1967). A nice role with dialogue, again at a dance, where he appears with several old men but he is the one given a hard time by Franco.
|Posted by: Ciavazzaro May 01, 2016 05:56 pm|
| Thank you very much for the new roles, for one of my favourite generici Carlos !
According to the cidb he should appear also in
Vado... l'ammazzo e torno 1967
Per qualche dollaro in meno as town men
Can you check ?
|Posted by: carlos May 02, 2016 05:21 am|
|Yes, I know he is in Vado with quite a nice role. I'll post some pics shortly. I don't remember him in meno. I'll have a look at that one in the next few days.|

Per qualche dollaro in meno (1966)
We first see him sleeping on the porch of the building behind him (top pic) with the sign 'Notary Public', so possibly that is his role.
|Posted by: carlos May 07, 2016 06:43 pm|
Umberto has a nice role as the librarian's assistant, Timeno, with several scenes and some dialog, unfortunately uncredited.

| 10.000 dollari per un massacro (1967) saloon greeter

| And here is Salomone in Maciste nelle miniere del re Salomone (1964), though not as the 're Salomone' but as a slave
